I have walked passed Flax seeds (Linseeds) thousands of times in the shop. Not really knowing what one will use it for, or why to buy it. Until I started reading up on this superfood, I was amazed by all the benefits. Flaxseeds are such a versatile ingredient and full of nutritional goodness. Just one tablespoon of flax seeds contains 3 grams of fiber, which is 8 – 12% of the daily recommended intake for men and women, respectively.

Hint: Because some of its nutrients are heat sensitive, flaxseed oil is not suitable for high-temperature cooking.
